The Saints finished up the 2014 regular season with a respectable 7-9 record straight up. They were not as successful against the spread ending with a bankroll busting 6-10 against the spread. New Orleans just couldn’t seem to win at home last year posting a pathetic 2-6 against the spread while having a little more success on the road at a respectable but juice losing 4-4. Drew Bree’s passed for an average of 309.5 yards per game to put them 3rd overall in pass yards. The Saints air game dominated the field but they did put up an impressive 126.2 rushing yards per game which put them 13th in the league in run yards. Overall they managed to score an average of 25.1 points per game which is an impressive 9th in scoring. The Saints allowed their opponents on average over 4 touchdowns per game to drop them into 28th position in the league for points allowed.

New Orleans suffered last year on the defensive side of the ball ranking 31st in the league overall. Although they managed 411.4 yards of offense they gave up 384 yards to their opponents. They ranked 24th in pass defence allowing 262.9 passing yards, their run defense was less impressive ranking 29th overall allowing 132.8 rushing yards per game.

The Ravens were on a roll last year with a straight up record of 10-6 clinching a 6th seed in the playoffs and winning the wild card game against the Steelers. Ultimately they lost their bid for the AFC Championship to the Patriots who went on the win the Super Bowl. Baltimore had a respectable 8-8 against the spread on the season dividing their success both at home and away by going 4-4 each. If the UNDER was your cup of tea on the Baltimore games you probably would have broken even with their record of 7-9 for the regular season.

Baltimore’s offense had an overall rank of 12 in the league with 364.9 yards per game. The passing game of Joe Flacco was less than impressive gaining on average only 250 yards per game putting them 17th in the league in passing. The Raven’s impressive running game was ranked 8th overall gaining 126.2 yards per game on average. With their strong ground game Baltimore was 8th overall in scoring with an average of 26.5 points per game.

Baltimore’s offense might not be impressive but their defense ranked 8th in the league overall allowing their opponents only 336.9 yards per game. Their pass defense allowed 271.3 yards ranking 28th but the rush defence of the Ravens squad allowed a mere 88.3 yards per game ranking them 4th overall in rush defense. Baltimore allowed only 18.9 points per game with their impressive play which put them in front of the field at 6th overall.
