Indianapolis beer features hidden ‘Tom Brady sux’ message
You thought the Tom Brady/deflate-gate scandal had hit rock bottom? Come on! This is America, friend. When we hit rock bottom, we drill right on through that bad boy.
Even as settlement talks between Brady and the NFL begin in earnest, a brewery in Indianapolis is offering up its own pithy commentary on the Patriots quarterback. On the bottom of cans of Sun King Brewery’s beers, you’ll find the message “TOM BRADY SUX.”
Indianapolis has a bit of a grudge against Brady, of course, being on the losing end of that 45-7 playoff blowout that kicked off the whole deflate-gate mess. And while Colts fans would need to consume mass quantities of Sun King’s product to blot out the memory of that particular game, the question remains: how exactly did the message get on the can?
Blame a guy named “Biscuit.” Yes, really.
“It wasn’t an idea [the brewery] came up with at all,” Clay Robinson, Sun King co-owner, told the Indianapolis Star. “Every day, we change the thing on the bottom of our cans. One of the guys running the canning lines had to come up with something. Biscuit is his name. So Biscuit put ‘Tom Brady Sux.'”
Robinson did not identify “Biscuit.” The cans, if they’re still on the shelves, are nearing the end of their viable sell-by date, so if you’re anywhere near Indianapolis, you might want to grab a few. You’re going to need something to get you through the Patriots-Colts game this season … the first one Brady’s slated to be playing. He’s not going to be happy.
