Marshawn Lynch jokes about ill-fated Super Bowl play call on ‘The League’
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch must be a fan of FXX’s show “The League,” which revolves around a group of friends obsessed with their fantasy football league, because he appeared in some promos for the new season and has a pretty funny spot in the season premiere.

Lynch plays along with a joke centered around the Seahawks’ final offensive play call in last season’s Super Bowl. Instead of handing it to Lynch at the 1-yard line, Seattle chose to throw it and it was intercepted by New England’s Malcolm Butler. In “The League” spot, one of the characters wants a beer, and Lynch offers to run it over, but the guy getting it would rather pass it to him.
Hey, what’s done is done. Might as well have a chuckle over it.
