Angels celebrated Mike Trout’s birthday by turning him into a human cake
If you’ve ever wondered what a birthday party looks like inside a major league clubhouse, we promise you won’t be disappointed.
On Friday, Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout celebrated his 24th birthday the only way he seems to know how, by being the best baseball player on the planet.

For the third time in four years, Trout homered on his big day. He also reached base an additional three times and recorded an outfield assist, which helped him fill the stat sheet and lead Los Angeles to an 8-4 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
That was Trout’s on-field birthday bash. Behind the scenes, the celebration was a little messier thanks to his teammates. Especially one Albert Pujols.
As we see in the video provided by Kole Calhoun, Pujols went about turning Trout into a human birthday cake, dousing him with baby powder, which apparently is an acceptable substitute for flour, and then cracking an egg over his head.
As the story in the clubhouse goes, Pujols explained to Trout that this was a “Dominican-style” happy birthday. Angels TV analyst Jose Mota later confirmed it to be a legit form of celebration in their home country, so who are we to question it? Trout also confirmed that Erick Aybar, the man who summoned the spirits and woke up Angels bats this week, had planned on cracking five eggs on Trout’s head for good luck.

As it turns out, that would have been a waste of four perfectly good eggs.
Trout only needed one, and Angels fans only need one Mike Trout.
