United's Rafael in Lyon for transfer talks
Lyon expect to sign Manchester United full-back Rafael, the Ligue 1 club’s president Jean-Michel Aulas has said.
Rafael, 25, has been told he is not in United manager Louis van Gaal’s plans and is free to leave Old Trafford this summer.
Aulas has now confirmed that the Brazilian, who has one year remaining on his contract, is close to sealing a transfer to the French side.

He also retweeted a picture showing Rafael at a hotel in Lyon.

L’Equipe had earlier reported that Rafael, who is set to compete with Christophe Jallet for the right-back spot at Lyon, was due to have a medical on Monday.
The Times has said Rafael will cost Lyon around £2.1 million and is set to sign a four-year deal.
Rafael last started a league game for United in October.
