Rockets' Smith gets Game 5 start over Jones
HOUSTON — The Houston Rockets made a change to their starting lineup for Tuesday’s Game 5 against the Los Angeles Clippers by moving forward Josh Smith into the lineup and sitting Terrence Jones.
During the series, Smith has struggled to find his shot. He’s shooting 27.3 percent from the floor while averaging 6.3 points per game.
Smith, signed as a free agent during the regular season after his release from the Detroit Pistons, has been a productive member for the Rockets. He was a starter at first, but then elected to come off the bench. He averaged 12.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game during the regular season.
Smith last started in late March for the Rockets.
