Cecil threw 15 pitches, 12 for strikes, and gave up a run on two doubles. He felt good afterward, according to the Toronto Star’s Brendan Kennedy.
Cecil is expected to pitch another inning in a minor league game on Tuesday as he returns from a sore shoulder.
Indians RP Kyle Crockett (hamstring) to throw off mound Saturday

(1:50 pm ET) Miguel Cabrera returned to the field for the Tigers a day earlier than expected. Cabrera was going to test his surgically repaired ankle by running the bases on Saturday, then play on Sunday.
Instead, he was inserted into a pair of minor league games on Saturday. Cabrera singled in one game and ran to first base. Then he went to an adjacent field and hit a single in that game as well.
Orioles’ prospect Hunter Harvey hit by comebacker

Harvey left the game in Fort Myers, and executive Dan Duquette said he would be examined by a doctor when he returned to Orioles’ camp, per MASN’s Steve Melewski.
Angel Pagan returns to on-field baseball activities for Giants

Burns was able to stay in the game, and, a day later, the knee was still doing well. Manager Bob Melvin said that Burns would probably be available off the bench on Saturday and would be back in the lineup on Sunday, per the San Francisco Chronicle’s Susan Slusser.
Grade 2 forearm strain for Giants’ Erik Cordier

The forearm is improving with treatment, and Cordier hopes to begin throwing again in the near future.

(1:28 pm ET) Rockies first baseman Justin Morneau hasn’t played since Wednesday due to a minor left elbow injury, per MLB.com. Although, he is hoping to play Monday.
Morneau is batting .167 (3 for 18) with one home run and three RBI through nine spring games.
“It’s more of a feeling than it is a number,” Morneau said of his spring numbers. “I just want to feel like I don’t need to cheat to get to the ball inside. I can go down the street [to minor league camp] and get 10 at-bats in a day if I want to when they’re playing intrasquad games.
“It’s getting to that pitch without thinking about getting to it. It takes a little while. It’s a trust thing.”
Braves’ Christian Bethancourt to miss third straight game with flu

Bethancourt’s illness is lingering, and he’ll miss Saturday’s game, per the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s David O’Brien.
