A.J. Pierzynski becomes second Braves member to be ejected this spring
Atlanta Braves catcher A.J. Pierzynski has a reputation for being one of the most hated players in the league. But any questions about whether he would get along with new manager Fredi Gonzalez were solved Wednesday.
Pierzynski joined a unique group during Wednesday’s game, becoming the second person this spring to be ejected from a game. The first, of course, was Gonzalez, who lasted just one pitch before being tossed.
Everything about this video is fantastic.

Pierzynski clearly has a few words to say to Joe West about his strike zone, but things seem to calm down before anything drastic happens. Well, Pierzynski apparently went too far once he got into his crouch, prompting West to tell Gonzalez, “You need a new catcher, he’s done.”
Pierzynski seems fairly surprised about the whole ordeal, and attempts to bond with New York Yankees catcher Brian McCann about the incident. McCann seems to just smile and nod, as there’s really nothing he can do about the situation.
West is known for being ornery behind the plate, making it tough to choose sides here. Who wins in this battle between two of the more unlikeable personalities in baseball?
It’s spring training and someone got ejected, we all win!
