Kevin Pillar wears shirt poking fun at his sneezing injury
Weird spring training injuries can be embarrassing, and Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar is the latest example of that. Pillar is expected to miss a week of action after sneezing so hard that he injured his oblique.
If Pillar feels humiliated about the injury, he’s not showing it.
Pillar opted to take the non-Chris Sale route, and seems willing to take any and all questions about his unusual injury. Sale reportedly injured his foot while getting out of his truck this spring, but there seems to be more to the story than he’s letting on.

While it doesn’t appear we’ll get closure on Sale any time soon, Pillar seems more than willing to own up to his embarrassing situation. Hey, these things happen. We can’t all injure ourselves making a game-saving play or collecting the game-winning hit.
Pillar is willing to embrace his clumsiness, and we ought to be grateful for that. If anything, it should make us feel better when we hurt our ankle getting out of the shower.
