A-Rod hits first spring homer against Red Sox
A-Rod went deep on Wednesday afternoon. (USATSI)
For the first time since September 2013, Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has hit a home run in an MLB game. Yeah, it was spring training, but he can’t control the calender. A-Rod took Red Sox righty Brandon Workman deep to left-center on Wednesday afternoon.
To the action footage:
Perfect setup for Alex: 88 mph fastball over the plate in a 3-1 count. Those are the pitches a big league hitter is supposed to hit out of the park.
By the way, coming into Wednesday’s game, A-Rod was 4-for-9 (.444) with a double this spring.
