Let’s face it, the results of spring training games aren’t all that important. Sure, it’s nice when your team, and its key players perform well, but it means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Spring training games are exhibitions, and that means it’s time for veterans to work on stuff, and fringe players to prove they belong.
The Indians are no stranger to this concept, and posted the following lineup Monday.
Today’s #TribeSpring lineup vs. @Mariners – 3/9 (Brandon Moss’ Spring Debut!) pic.twitter.com/sOUDWvYJHK

To the experienced spring training fan, this is a typical lineup. There are some stars in there, but the bottom half of the order is filled with players fighting for a spot on the 25-man roster. Some Twitter users took exception to the fact that their normal starters weren’t all in the lineup (imagine that!), and decided to let the team know about it.
@Indians @Mariners Sands is trash get him out of there

The Indians had the perfect response:
.@Dylan475 Congrats! You’re today’s First Lineup Second Guesser of the Day! Enjoy your certificate. #TribeSpring pic.twitter.com/jw6hXDyaZ5

Wonderful! The team’s Twitter account has been handing out the “First Lineup Second Guesser of the Day” certificate when the Twitter masses deserve it, and we applaud them for it. There are plenty of things baseball fans can, and will, complain about. Spring training lineups should not be one of them.
