Lee felt something in the elbow Friday, and an MRI showed mild inflammation, The News Journal reports. He will be held out of his next start due to the flexor pronator issue, which was the same injury that he dealt with last season.
Lee will likely begin to throw again Monday, and he “will progress his throwing program as tolerated,” per the team’s statement. The MRI has been sent to Dr. James Andrews for a second opinion.
Lee went 4-5 with a 3.65 ERA and 72:12 K:BB ratio in 81 1/3 innings in 2014.
