Mavs' Parsons to return Sunday vs. Lakers
By Tim MacMahon | ESPNDallas.com
LOS ANGELES — Mavericks small forward Chandler Parsons plans to return Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers after missing the last seven games due to a left ankle injury.
Parsons sprained the ankle and suffered a bone bruise during the Mavs’ Feb. 20 win over the Houston Rockets.
Dallas went 3-4 without Parsons, their prized free agent addition who is averaging 15.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists this season.
“Excited to get back on the court and help our team win games,” Parsons said via text message. “Trying to play our best basketball down the stretch and into the playoffs.”
The Mavs’ preferred starting five has played only two games together since the start of February due to injuries to Chandler, center Tyson Chandler and point guard Rajon Rondo.
