Brewers releasing a talking bobblehead of Harry Doyle from ‘Major League’
If you didn’t already know, The Stew has an unhealthy love for the baseball flick “Major League,” which is why the Milwaukee Brewers absolutely delighted us with news that they’re releasing a talking bobblehead of Harry Doyle, the film’s play-by-play announcer portrayed by Bob Uecker.
The Brewers aren’t the stars of “Major League,” but Uecker is their actual play-by-play voice and a beloved ex-player, so they’ve got every right to jump aboard the “Major League” bandwagon. (Most of “Major League” was filmed in Milwaukee too, at the old County Stadium, so the locals love the movie too).

The talking bobblehead says three classic Doyle lines:
• “This guy threw at his own kid in a father-son game.”
• “Personally, I think we got hosed on that call.”
• “Juuuuuust a bit outside.”
It’s available July 21 as part of the team’s “Major League” theme night. Unlike normal bobblehead nights, you have to buy a special ticket to get this one. There are only 4,000 available.
That’s the route the Brewers are taking with another rad bobblehead too. For their “Star Wars” night on May 30, they’re releasing a Jonathan Lucroy “Star Wars” bobblehead, as “Jedi Luc.” Get it?
The bobblehead game is strong in Milwaukee.
