Wizards-Rockets delayed while goal replaced
Associated Press
HOUSTON — The Rockets and Washington Wizards have resumed play after a goal malfunction forced the game to be delayed some 30 minutes Monday night.
The teams were scoreless when game officials stopped the action 48 seconds into the game because the rim the Rockets were shooting on was crooked.
After attempts to repair the rim failed, officials decided to replace the goal altogether.
It took Toyota Center staff about 20 minutes to replace the goal, and play resumed after an additional five-minute warmup period.
