Week 17 has finally arrived, which means the NFL regular season is drawing to an end. Fantasy footballers have been fortunate this season in terms of weather impact on NFL games, as very few contests were disturbed by Mother Nature over the course of the 2014 season. Week 17 brings more mild weather, with just a few spots expected to deal with rain showers during Sunday’s slate of action. Most of the East Coast will encounter wet weather on Sunday, although temperatures will be reasonably warm for late December. No snow is expected in hosting NFL cities this weekend, leaving fantasy football fans with just a handful of games in which rain will be worth noting.

Wet Weather Watch
Cleveland at Baltimore (1:00 ET): The Sunday afternoon forecast for the Baltimore area is expecting 54 degree temperatures with a 50% chance of rain showers at M&T Bank Stadium as the Ravens host the Cleveland Browns. Rain showers are anticipated to be scattered throughout the afternoon, so both passing offenses should be able to move as normal, although starting any member of the Connor Shaw-led Cleveland offense is a risky move.
Dallas at Washington (1:00 ET): Washington will see weather similar to the conditions in Baltimore, with 53 degree temperatures and rain showers expected at FedEx Field. Wind won’t be an issue for the kickers or quarterbacks in this game, but there is a strong chance that some precipitation will make an appearance.
Indianapolis at Tennessee (1:00 ET): Rain showers will be in the Nashville, Tennessee area on Sunday morning and showers are expected to linger throughout the afternoon as the Titans host the visiting Indianapolis Colts. Temperatures of 47 degrees and 8 mph winds will be manageable but both teams will be dealing with wet conditions on Sunday.
Philadelphia at NY Giants (1:00 ET): Cloudy skies are expected to hang over MetLife Stadium on Sunday for the matchup between the Eagles and Giants. A 50% chance of rain showers is forecasted for this game, but temperatures will be moderate at 50 degrees. All fantasy options should be safe to start here, but there will be some precipitation present.
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh (8:30 ET): Pittsburgh will see rain showers throughout the day on Sunday, but as kickoff of the Sunday night game arrives, the skies above Heinz Field should be partially clear. Temperatures will drop to 31 degrees as the Steelers and Bengals battle for the AFC North title, but playing conditions should be reasonable on Sunday evening. All fantasy options should be started as normal, but be aware of the chance of precipitation lingering into the evening in Pittsburgh.

Worry-Free Weather
San Diego at Kansas City (1:00 ET): Chilly temperatures will be found at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday as the Kansas City Chiefs host the visiting San Diego Chargers. Chase Daniel will take over at quarterback for the Chiefs under sunny skies with just 5 mph winds. All fantasy options in this AFC West matchup should be ready to roll.
NY Jets at Miami (1:00 ET): The Miami area will see excellent weather this weekend, with mostly sunny skies and 81 degree temperatures expected on Sunday. No precipitation or heavy winds are in the forecast, so all relevant fantasy options can be trusted as normal in this contest.
Chicago at Minnesota (1:00 ET): Temperatures will be very cold on Sunday as the Minnesota Vikings host the Chicago Bears, but playing conditions should be relatively decent with no precipitation in Sunday’s Minneapolis area forecast. Winds of 8 mph won’t impact this matchup, so all fantasy options can be used as normal in this game despite the frigid conditions.
Buffalo at New England (1:00 ET): Overcast skies will be present over Gillette Stadium on Sunday as the New England Patriots host the Buffalo Bills. Temperatures will be moderate at 49 degrees, and 10 mph winds won’t be much of an impact for this game. Only a 20% chance of rain is forecasted for this matchup, so New England players being rested in the second half is the primary concern here.
New Orleans at Tampa Bay (1:00 ET): The New Orleans Saints will be welcomed by sunny skies and 81 degree temperatures when they travel to Raymond James Stadium to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Conditions will be nearly perfect for this game, with no precipitation or significant wind expected.
St. Louis at Seattle (4:25 ET): A mixture of sun and clouds will hover above CenturyLink Field in Seattle on Sunday as the Seahawks host the visiting St. Louis Rams. Precipitation and wind won’t be factors in this NFC West matchup, as Seattle looks to wrap up the NFC’s top seed for the postseason. All fantasy options here are usable as normal.
Detroit at Green Bay (4:25 ET): Cold Wisconsin air will be found at Lambeau Field on Sunday when the Packers and Lions face off, with temperatures expected to be in the 20’s for this NFC North battle. No rain and very light winds are forecasted for the Green Bay area on Sunday, so all offensive fantasy weapons can be started as normal.
Oakland at Denver (4:25 ET): Snow will hit the Denver area on Sunday, but not until after the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos wrap up their Week 17 divisional matchup. During the game, no precipitation is forecasted, while temperatures are expected to be in the low 30’s. Winds won’t be an issue either, with just a 6 mph breeze expected.
