Lump of coal: Durant (ankle) to sit vs. Spurs
ESPN.com news services
Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant has been ruled out for the team’s Christmas Day game against the defending champion San Antonio Spurs.
This will be the fourth straight game Durant will miss after spraining his right ankle. He also missed 17 games to begin the season with a broken right foot.
Durant sprained his ankle last Thursday against the Warriors after stepping on Marreese Speights‘ foot shortly before halftime.
Durant, 26, is averaging 22.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists this season.
The Thunder (13-16) have lost their past two games and are 7-2 with Durant on the floor and just 6-14 without the reigning league MVP.
