Pass or Fail: LA Kings reveal white pants, Stadium Series jerseys
The Los Angeles Kings formally revealed their 2015 Stadium Series jerseys on Tuesday. They match the artist’s rendering that was leaked earlier this month.
Which is unfortunate because … white pants.
Look, when you’re the reigning Stanley Cup champions, you can pretty much do whatever the hell you want. And the Kings have clearly decided to turn in that swagger for the chance to wear pajamas on the ice.
Or an officially licensed tennis kit.
Or a giant diaper.
The two-toned jersey actually doesn’t look that bad … OK, we just noticed the giant numbers on the sleeves that look like a melting clock from a Salvador Dali painting. It’s not good. No sir or ma’am.
According to Jack Wilson, who snapped these photos, Kings exec Luc Robitaille said that the two small crowns on the collar represent the two Stanley Cups the Kings have captured.
No word if the San Jose Sharks Stadium Series sweater has three happy faces on one side of their collar and four straight frowny faces on the other side …
So with that, dear readers –
