Week 13 is already three games old, but plenty of fantasy action remains on the NFL schedule. This week, the national weather forecast cooperates nicely with scheduled hosting NFL cities as most of the forecasted precipitation is expected on the West coast and in the Midwest. Despite the lack of serious precipitation on Sunday, temperatures will dip considerably in certain NFL cities as winter months begin to take hold of the upper states. The Southern half of the U.S. will still enjoy fine weather, as seen in both the Jacksonville and Tampa Bay recaps below. Grab a scarf and button up your jacket as we stroll through the Week 13 weekend forecasts.
Rain Watch
Cleveland at Buffalo (1:00 ET): The Buffalo Bills will actually get to host a home game at Ralph Wilson Stadium this week, as heavy snow in the area has turned to rain with warmer temperatures moving into Western New York. The Cleveland Browns will be visiting Buffalo to take on the Bills with cloudy skies and a 50% chance of rain in the forecast. Winds will be of note in this game as well, with 15-25 mph gusts expected. Fantasy passing game options like Josh Gordon and Sammy Watkins can likely still be started as normal, but it will be worth a look early on Sunday morning to see if the windy and rainy conditions in Buffalo have escalated.
New Orleans at Pittsburgh (1:00 ET): Rain is also a possibility at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh as the New Orleans Saints travel to take on the Steelers. Drew Brees and company will be welcomed by cloudy skies and a 40% chance of rain along with 55 degree temperatures and 13 mph winds. These conditions shouldn’t have too much of an impact on seasoned veterans like Brees and Ben Roethlisberger, but be aware that some precipitation could move into the area. Le’Veon Bell, already a top Week 13 option, will likely be used in heavy doses in this matchup.

Worry-Free Weather
San Diego at Baltimore (1:00 ET): The San Diego Chargers will make a cross-country trip to M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Sunday where they will be greeted by mild conditions. This battle of 7-4 AFC teams will be played under mostly sunny skies with 57 degree temperatures expected at kickoff. Winds of just 7 mph won’t be an issue, so all Ravens and Chargers fantasy options will be good to start as normal.
New York Giants at Jacksonville (1:00 ET): The Giants get a welcomed trip to warmer climates this week as they make the trek to Jacksonville to take on the 1-10 Jaguars. Perfect conditions will be found at EverBank Field with sunny skies and 74 degree temperatures expected. Wind won’t be an issue for either team with only a 6 mph breeze in the area, so the environment will be perfect for outstanding rookie Odell Beckham Jr’s encore.
Cincinnati at Tampa Bay (1:00 ET): Raymond James Stadium in Tampa will see even warmer conditions than Jacksonville as the Buccaneers and Bengals will do battle in 77 degree temperatures and plenty of Florida sunshine. Only 7 mph winds are anticipated for this game as the AFC North leading Bengals take on the 2-9 Bucs.
Carolina at Minnesota (1:00 ET): No major weather concerns are expected to impact this game between the Panthers and Vikings, but temperatures will be mighty cold in Minneapolis on Sunday. Partly cloudy skies will hang above TCF Bank Stadium with temperatures sitting at just 15 degrees as Cam Newton takes on Teddy Bridgewater. Winds will be worth watching, but should stay at 15 mph or under. With running back Jerick McKinnon ruled out of this contest, Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen may be the only startable fantasy options in this game, but all players can be used as normal.
New England at Green Bay (4:25 ET): The most highly anticipated game of the Week 13 slate will take place at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin as the New England Patriots take on the Green Bay Packers. This game should be a fantasy gold mine and thankfully the weather won’t be interfering, with partly cloudy skies expected with a zero percent chance of precipitation. The Lambeau faithful will be bundled up tight for this game, as temperatures will reach single digits by nightfall. Winds of 13 mph shouldn’t be much of a factor, so fire up those Packers and Patriots this week without worry.
Denver at Kansas City (8:30 ET): This critical AFC West battle will be of the utmost importance on Sunday night as the visiting Denver Broncos have just a one game lead over the Kansas City Chiefs. Arrowhead Stadium will be rocking on Sunday under partly cloudy skies with temperatures dipping into the low 20’s as the sun sets in Kansas City. Winds are expected to top out at around 14 mph during this game, so all relevant fantasy options should be started as usual.
Miami at New York Jets (8:30 ET, Mon): Miami will look to keep its playoff hopes alive on Monday Night Football as they travel to MetLife Stadium to face the New York Jets. Heavy cloud cover is expected in the area during this game with just a 20% chance of rain. Temperatures will lower to 30 degrees as nightfall creeps into the East Rutherford, New Jersey area and winds will be manageable at 12 mph. All fantasy players can be trusted as normal in this AFC East tilt.
Home Teams Are Dome Teams
Four games will be played in domes or stadiums with retractable roofs this week including the matchup between Indianapolis’ Andrew Luck and the newly named Washington starting quarterback, Colt McCoy.
