Titans TE Chase Coffman lays out Ravens coach, fined $30K
Fox’s Jay Glazer exclusively reported on a bizarre play near the end of the Week 10 game between the Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans last Sunday.
Late in the 21-7 Ravens victory, Titans tight end Chase Coffman was targeted on a pass from Zach Mettenberger that would be intercepted by the Ravens’ Danny Gorrer. But instead of trying to tackle Gorrer after the pick, Coffman instead kept running out of bounds and laid out a Ravens coach.
Watch the video:
It appears that Coffman gives a shiver to the neck of the Titans assistant, who has not been identified.
The league became aware of the play and fined Coffman $30,000. But ask yourself this: Was Coffman’s foul any less worse than, say, what Albert Haynesworth did to Andre Gurode years ago that earned Haynesworth a five-game suspension in Roger Goodell’s first year as NFL commissioner?
