Rams QB Shaun Hill willing to catch own pass if he has to
The St. Louis Rams have gone back to Shaun Hill at quarterback, and he apparently will do whatever it takes to keep the job.
That includes catching his own pass if needed.
Late in the second quarter, with the Rams driving to the Denver Broncos’ 11-yard line, Hill dropped back to pass, had the ball batted by defensive lineman Malik Jackson. But it bounced off a Ram’s helmet and went back to into Hill’s hands.
The catch went for zero yards, and the Rams had to settle for a field goal on the next play. But kudos to Hill for trying to do everything he could to pull off the upset against the Broncos.
And we’ll always take a QB pass to himself, which looked like this in the play rundown:
S.Hill pass short middle to S.Hill to DEN 11 for no gain (B.Marshall). Ball batted back to Shaun Hill by #97 M. Jackson
