Redskins receiver Pierre Garcon posted on his Instagram page a photo with O’Neill, mentioning the Navy SEAL spoke to the team, and captioned it:
“We had the honor of meeting and listening to a real HERO tonight before our game tomorrow and he’s a Redskins fan. Navy Seal Team 6 Rob O’Neill thank you for the inspiring words. #HTTR”
O’Neill also visited wither other players, including linebacker Adam Hayward:
And O’Neill, perhaps a bit starstruck, posted his own picture to social media — one with Robert Griffin III:
We’ll spare the war/football metaphors here. We’ll just say that the Redskins appear to be as thrilled to meet O’Neill as he was to meet them on Sunday.
