Dunk of the year nominee: Buffalo’s Justin Moss throws down vicious slam
Yahoo Sports will chronicle the best dunks of the 2014-15 college basketball season. If you spot one we miss, let us know here or here.
To fully appreciate the fearlessness unheralded Buffalo showed Sunday against the nation’s top-ranked team, all you have to do is watch the game’s most memorable highlight. Bulls forward Justin Moss got a lane to the rim late in the first half, attacked off the dribble and threw down a ferocious one-handed jam over 7-foot shot blocker Willie Cauley-Stein. Buffalo actually led by five at halftime and remained within a basket or two deep into the second half, but Kentucky tightened up on defense in the second half and pulled away in the second half for a 71-52 victory. Moss can at least take home a consolation prize though: Bragging rights over a future first-round draft pick.
