ESPN’s Mike Tirico introduces ‘Michael Vick and Carolina offense’
Mike Tirico is one of the best play-by-play men in the biz. But the ESPN announcer got off to a rough start Monday night.
Introducing the Carolina Panthers, Tirico called Cam Newton “Michael Vick.” This game was being played in Philadelphia against the Eagles, Vick’s former team. Maybe that was it?

Later, Tirico called Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart “James Stewart.” Is Bedford Falls near Philly?
We hate to bag on Tirico too much, as he’s normally an ace. But even he couldn’t get out of the blocks that great for this game.
