Nick Saban and Alabama are back in the top three. (USATSI) The Week 11 coaches poll Top 25 saw Alabama return to the poll’s top three spots and surging TCU move into its top five.
Mississippi State and Florida State, the FBS’s only two undefeated Power 5 teams, remained comfortably No. 1 and No. 2. The Crimson Tide moved up one spot to No. 3 after defeating LSU, followed by new No. 4 Oregon and the Horned Frogs, decisive winners over previous Big 12 leaders Kansas State.
Four different top-10 teams lost Saturday, with previous No. 3 Auburn slipping to No. 9. Michigan State fell from sixth to 12th, Notre Dame from eighth to 16th, and Kansas State from ninth to 13th. Those losses made room for new top-10 inclusions Ohio State (No. 7), Arizona State (No. 8) and Ole Miss (No. 10). Baylor moved No. 10 to No. 6 after routing new No. 24 Oklahoma in Norman.
Entering the poll this week were No. 23 Georgia Tech and No. 25 Colorado State, replacing previous No. 22 Utah and No. 25 West Virginia.
