Wisconsin Governor leaves ‘Go Packers’ graffiti on Vikings’ construction beam
Wisconsin Republican Gov. Scott Walker is an unabashed Packers fan — even on the campaign trail.
According to the New York Times, Walker used a little graffiti on a beam at the River Steel factory in West Salem, Wis., writing the phrase “Go Packers” on a beam that was to be used in the construction of the new Vikings stadium.

“Governor Walker did sign a piece of steel that was in a fabrication shop in Wisconsin, but his signature and whatever else he wrote has been removed from that piece of steel,” said John Wood, senior vice president for Mortenson Construction, which is building the Vikings’ $1 billion stadium in Minneapolis.
Walker didn’t exactly try to hide his misdeed, bringing it up to the crowd out to see him in Schofield, Wis. on Friday.
“I understand it was merely erased,” Wood said, pointing out that the facility has a tool that could easily get rid of the marks. It’s not all that unusual for graffiti to find its way onto steel construction beams, but its also not something companies take lightly — even if its done as a joke.
