Texas A&M suspends Kenny Hill for two games
Texas A&M’s Kyle Allen will definitely be starting at quarterback Saturday against Louisiana-Monroe.
The Aggies announced Saturday morning that Kenny Hill, the team’s starting QB for the first eight games of the season, was suspended for two games.
The statement A&M issued was brief and said Hill had been suspended because of a violation of team rules and athletics department policies. There was no elaboration.
Allen reportedly started A&M’s walkthrough on Friday. Typically, the quarterback who starts the walkthrough is the quarterback who starts the game.
After bursting onto the college football scene against South Carolina in the Aggies’ first game, Hill has played poorly as Texas A&M has lost its last three games.
Allen was the No. 1 quarterback recruit in the class of 2014 according to Rivals and the No. 7 prospect in the country. He competed with Hill to be A&M’s starter before the season. In four games this year, Allen has completed 23-38 passes for 264 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.
