The Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks play Friday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The Philadelphia 76ers lost their season opener to the Indiana Pacers, 103-91. The 76ers were shut down all night by the Pacers defense, shooting just 38.2 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from downtown. The 76ers did however have a couple of promising performances, including 22 points from Tony Wroten and 18 points from Alexey Shved off the bench. Nerlens Noel grabbed 10 rebounds and had six points in his career debut for Philadelphia after missing all of last year with an injury. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute remains questionable for this matchup with a back injury. It’s no secret the the Philadelphia 76ers aren’t expected to be a good team this season and it certainly doesn’t help some of their key guys are banged up. The 76ers have lost 17 of their last 19 road games SU.

The Milwaukee Bucks fell to the Charlotte Hornets in overtime, which was just a crushing defeat considering they had a 24-point lead at one point. The good news for the Bucks is that they shot 48.8 percent from the field and only turned the ball over 14 times. Brandon Knight led the Bucks with 22 points and O.J. Mayo scored 17 points in 24 minutes off the bench. Star rookie Jabari Parker was 3-9 from the field and grabbed four rebounds in his first game. Despite the loss, the fact that this young Milwaukee Bucks team was able to go into Charlotte and give a playoff caliber team a run for its money was quite impressive. The Bucks certainly played better than expected and it’s worth keeping an eye on to see if they can play with that same energy at home and actually close the deal this time.
The 76ers are 14-2 ATS in their last 16 vs. Eastern Conference and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games playing on 1 days rest. The Bucks are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. The 76ers are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Milwaukee.
While neither team is great, I have to ask what the Bucks have done to earn so many points. While the 76ers are probably the worst team in basketball, they have done a solid job of covering the number, especially against other East comp. While this is a game you’d probably be best avoiding completely, the points have to be the option if you feel to bet this matchup instead of the better games on the bord.
