Playoff committee puts three SEC West teams in top four
The College Football Playoff committee, which will pick the four teams in this year’s playoff, released its first Top 25 rankings Tuesday.
As expected, Mississippi State was made the top seed and Florida State was No. 2. But that’s where things got interesting. Auburn, whose only loss came on the road against Mississippi State, is No. 3, and the Tigers’ opponent this weekend, Ole Miss, is fourth.
