Report: Vincent Jackson trade target of Eagles, Patriots, Seahawks
Would the Buccaneers move wide receiver Vincent Jackson before the NFL trade deadline? If a contender offers the right price, yes.
The NFL Network reports Tampa Bay, coming off its bye at 1-5 and hosting Minnesota in Week 8, is getting plenty of suitors interested in acquiring the big veteran target. The most notable among them are Philadelphia, New England and Seatte — three potential Super Bowl teams needing some help at wideout.
Vincent Jackson still generating trade interest. Among the more than 4 teams calling around: Eagles, Pats, Seahawks. Bucs want real value

Jackson is 6-5, 230, but at 31, is making $10 million in the third year of a $55.55 million contract he signed with the Bucs. Thanks a bit to quarterback injury and inconsistency, he has only 25 receptions for 344 yards and 2 TDs through six games. He could provide a major upgrade, however, on a better offense with a more reliable passing situation.
The Eagles would like a boost with a big, experienced physical yet still fast receiver to put opposite speedy Jeremy Maclin outside and help up-and-down quarterback Nick Foles.
The Patriots haven’t had the same venerable consistent outside threat for Tom Brady since parting ways with Randy Moss, having to work in a mixed bag of journeymen and unproven youngsters.
The Seahawks, who just moved versatile slot type Percy Harvin to the Jets, could use a more consistent, savvy option to pair with Russell Wilson.
They all make sense, and those type of teams would be just aggressive enough to part with the necessary draft compension if Jackson does look like a good fit.
The Buccaneers would need to decide if they want to try to “contend” themselves in a weak NFC South where 3-3-1 Carolina is leading or think better of it, move Jackson’s hefty salary and set them up with a pick or two to help them in the near future.
