Lions ship another player home from London, this time for violating team rules
The Detroit Lions might as well have hired a shuttle to take their players to London and back.
For the second time since the team arrived in England on Monday for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, the Lions sent someone home. The first time, it was practice squad running back William Powell, who was cut. That was more understandable than defensive tackle C.J. Mosley.

Mosley was sent home on Saturday after violating team rules, according to the Detroit Free Press’ Dave Birkett. Mosley was suspended two weeks by the team for the unspecified rules violation. It’s probably fair to say that it had to be something pretty bad to get suspended for two weeks and sent on a nine-hour flight home the day before a game.
Hopefully for the Lions, the rest of the players will be flying home as a team after Sunday’s early game, and nobody else has to get shipped back early.
