Tim Tebow criticizes Gators’ lack of leadership
Tim Tebow does not think the Florida offense has an identity, and he believes that a lack of leadership on that side of the ball is one reason for the Gators’ current struggles.
After a blowout home loss to Missouri, Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley issued a statement that indicated an evaluation is coming for Will Muschamp — likely at the end of the season — with an attempt to rally fan support for the Gators with the Cocktail Party rivalry game against Georgia coming up on Nov. 1.
Tebow, now an analyst for the SEC Network, has been supportive of Florida football through its struggles this season, but he expressed many of the same concerns as Gators fans and media members that cover the team during an interview with a Jacksonville radio station on Tuesday.

@TimTebow – “I don’t think that offense have an identity right now, and I don’t think that they know what they want their identity to be.”

@TimTebow – “Maybe they can rally around the “our backs are against the wall” mentality.” (on the Gators)

The Florida offense has been far from consistent this season, due in large part to redshirt junior starting quarterback Jeff Driskel, who is ranked No. 114 (last) nationally in passing efficiency. After six games, the Gators rank No. 112 in the country in yards per play with Driskel posting the worst passer rating in the SEC while averaging 5.1 yards per attempt. He has thrown 6 touchdowns and 10 interceptions this season.
