Report: Panthers’ Luke Kuechly won’t be fined for contact with ref
Kudos to the NFL for admitting a mistake (on time) and making the correct decision to not discipline Luke Kuechly.
The league on Tuesday informed Panthers coach Ron Rivera that his linebacker will not be fined or suspended for making contact with an official during Carolina’s 38-17 loss in Green Bay on Sunday, according to an ESPN.com report.

The Pro Bowler was ejected in the third quarter after the back judge grabbed him from behind during a small scrum, prompting No. 59 to jerk his arm and self out of the official’s grasp. Kuechly had no idea who was behind him.
“To tell you the truth, I didn’t know who was grabbing me,” Kuechly told ESPN after the game. “I was trying to get out of there a little bit. You’ve just got to stay calm in those situations and just walk away and let it take care of itself.”
