Donald Trump, professional blowhard, has ridiculous comments about Bills
Donald Trump’s schtick is as an arrogant rich guy, and he plays it to perfection. He has stayed on the fringe of the spotlight for a long time with that act, playing the character of Donald Trump, so kudos to him.
Trump was rumored to be interested in buying the Buffalo Bills, and was one of the few potential owners who made it deep into the bidding process. The team went to Terry Pegula, the owner of the Buffalo Sabres, for $1.4 billion.
And Trump’s reaction was basically, I didn’t want the Bills anyway.
Trump is a 68-year-old man, by the way. You wouldn’t know it by the junior high taunts.

Anyone who knows the history of the USFL knows that Trump wanted to be a part of the NFL (ESPN Films’ “Who Killed the USFL” and the book “The $1 League: The Rise and Fall of the USFL” look at that issue, and the awesome history of the old USFL as a whole). That was many years ago, but he apparently wanted back in and is a wee bit bitter it didn’t happen.
The Bills and Pegula seem like a great fit. Pegula seems very proud to keep the Bills in Buffalo and seems to have a heartfelt appreciation for the fans. The fans appreciate Pegula right back. It seems like Buffalo lucked out.
