Russell Westbrook doesn’t know what a meme is
The average 25-year-old person with social media experience understands what a meme is. OKC Thunder guard Russell Westbrook is not counted among them.
Westbrook, who has a personal Twitter and Instagram account, appeared in an Internet meme upon the announcement that Thunder star Kevin Durant will be out 6-8 weeks with a Jones fracture in his right foot.

The meme suggested that Westbrook will take over the team and challenge for the MVP, an award Durant won last season. In the photo, Westbrook wears a serious face as he looks at the MVP trophy. The word “Soon” is written below Durant’s intent look.
When Westbrook was asked about the photo, he responded by admitting he had no idea what a meme was.
