Philadelphia Eagles make a permission slip for fans to skip work after Giants win
It’s a good time to be a Philadelphia Eagles fan. The Eagles are 5-1 and coming off a thorough 27-0 win over the New York Giants on Sunday night.
Considering that game ended about 11:30 p.m., there probably won’t be a lot of work getting done in the Philadelphia area on Monday morning. The Eagles want to make it official.
The Eagles sent out a funny fill-in-the-blank permission slip for fans to give to their bosses to skip work on Monday.
The “day-off pass,” was also posted on PhiladelphiaEagles.com and continued:
And even after the late night, we are hard at work on this Monday morning. Our 5-1 record is a great start, but it is just the beginning. In fact, there may be a few more late nights in your employee’s future.
We apologize in advance.Sincerely,The Philadelphia Eagles
Pretty funny, even though it’s Columbus Day and many folks had the day off anyway. It’s the thought that counts, though. Wonder what kind of permission slip the city would need if the Eagles ever won the Super Bowl.
