Good morning all you fake football playing fools and fake football playing fools at sea and in houses and near a puppy. We have football and that means it’s time to decide who to start and then agonize over those decisions all day! Sounds like a blast!
I’ll be throwing some updates and analysis your way during the big early slate and then winding it down in the late slate as I look over some target and fantasy numbers. Also give me a follow over in Twitter land where I also spew my nonsense, but in an even more nonsensical way.
For lineup decisions let Pat Daugherty help you out with his Week 6 Rankings. For sleepers let Nick Mensio give you the scoop in his latest. And always be sure to read Evan Silva’s detailed look at every game in his Matchups column.
* Carson Palmer will start against Washington according to reports. UPDATE Carson Palmer’s status is not final yet. He’ll need to show he can go in warmups.
* Marqise Lee is active against the Titans.
* Vincent Jackson (ribs) and Mike Evans (groin) are both active against the Ravens.
* Storm Johnson is the Jaguars’ starting running back at Tennessee.
* Fred Jackson (ankle) is active against the Patriots.
* Browns declared RB Terrance West inactive against the Steelers. Isaiah Crowell is the no doubt #2 back.
* Reggie Bush is out against Minnesota. Joique Bell will get the start.
* Calvin Johnson is out as expected. Jeremy Ross gets the start in his place.
* Bishop Sankey was announced as the Titans’ starting tailback against the Jaguars. He has good upside in a nice matchup.
* Jonathan Stewart (knee) is inactive against the Bengals. Darrin Reaves will most likely get the start.
* Knowshon Moreno is active, but Lamar Miller still will get the start and is a worthwhile flex.
* Eric Decker is active against his old team, but is still an extremely risky play.
* Tom Brady is active as expected. Never trust the Hoodie.
* AJ Green as expected is out. Mohammed Sanu gets the bump.
* Jordan Reed (hamstring) has been cleared to play against the Cardinals. He’s risky, but this matchup is too good to ignore if you don’t have a top TE to play this week.
* Derek Carr will start as expected. It’s a bump for Andre Holmes and James Jones.
* NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Jimmy Graham (shoulder) is expected to miss 2-3 weeks following the Saints’ Week 6 bye. This doesn’t impact us today, but will and soon and for the rest of our next 2-3 weeks.
Let’s Play Some Fake Football!!!
* Both Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard get the start. We should see lots of running in this one with AJ Green out.
