Oklahoma State and Texas Tech have special helmets and uniforms for Thursday tilt (Photos)
Oklahoma State and Texas Tech both took full advantage of being in the college football spotlight Thursday night with new uniforms and helmets.
Both went with shiny lids that have oversized logos. Oklahoma State’s is orange with a big Pistol Pete head. (It’s a tad scary. Pistol Pete can be intimidating.)

Texas Tech has an oversized toreador logo on a gray helmet. Tech’s uniforms are officially called the “White Ombré” uniforms. The logos on each side of the helmet are connected by dramatic styling off the toreador’s cape.

Tech’s logo on the helmet looks better than the logo on the shoulder pads does. Oklahoma State went with entirely black uniforms with the orange helmets.

While we understand OSU breaking out the unis for a special ESPN game during the week, we can’t help thinking they’d be more fitting worn closer to Halloween. That snarling face of Pistol Pete is good for a Halloween costume.
