Animation: Dodgers’ Josh Beckett waits for high five that never comes
Thanks to blogger Chad Moriyama, who’s always on point when it comes to funny Los Angeles Dodgers happenings, for animating the team greeting Justin Turner after he hit his second home run Tuesday night.
The Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants 4-2 to lower their magic number to clinch the National League West to 1. More importantly, they showed lots of camaraderie by being happy for Turner in the dugout. Everyone seemingly got a piece of the red head — everyone except Josh Beckett, who waited patiently for a fist bump or high five or even a nod. A glance? None came. He finally tapped Turner on the helmet while his head was turned.
For added laughs, check the lower-right portion of the screen for Juan Uribe, who got slapped playfully on the head by Hyun-jin Ryu but didn’t like how it felt. The Dodgers act like 35 Three Stooges sometimes.
